I’m in the process of going through all my positions and portfolio strategy. It’s a new year and I’m looking for ways to improve my portfolio and my trading. In order to become better I have to practice (trade) more and practice correctly.

At the moment my biggest weakness seem to be that I’m not honoring all my stops and that I have too many small positions. I think I need to get a better trading structure and concentrate my portfolio.

I have to trade more and fail more. By documenting it here I might learn faster.

It might take a few years but it will be worth it.
First up is to review my whole portfolio, everything from risk management to position size. Last year I was mostly focused on learning rule 1 investing by Phil Town. This year will be more about trading. I’m reading up about trend following and CAN SLIM. These strategies seem to be working better in a bull market (which we are in at the moment) and can perhaps be suitable for my personality. Being overly aggressive (with stops) like Paul Tudor Jones might not be for me but I’ll try to find a balance.
My ultra long term investments will have to be put aside for a bit but I will still look for possible candidates to put on my watch list.
